Our Private School Camps are designed specifically for families navigating private school calendars and closures. If your child’s school is in session break and you’re looking for a meaningful, engaging way for them to spend those days, look to Spark.
We offer uniquely themed camps led by our dedicated Teaching Artists, where kids are creating art, moving their bodies, practicing mindfulness, and staying inspired all day long. With both single-day and full-week options available, Spark Private School Camps provide a joyful, high-quality solution that supports children—and parents—when school is out.
Typical Day Breakdown
9:00-9:30 am : Welcome & Free Draw
10 am: Opening Circle
10:15-11 am: Yoga & Meditation
11:00-11:15 am: Snack
11:15-12 pm: Art Lesson
12:-2 pm: Lunch/Play/Nature
2 -3:25 pm: Art Lesson 2
3:30 pm: Closing Circle
4pm : Pick up
All camps are run by Two Teaching Artists and we incorporate
museum field trips on specific days throughout the year.
FAQs
What do we need to bring?
- Comfortable sneakers (we will be walking!).
- Daily Lunch, Snack and water bottle and a small throw blanket or towel to sit on.
- Backpack
- Sun hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
- Plus, you will be given a detailed email with all instructions prior to the start of camp.
When will i get the details of my camp?
Camp details go out the Friday before camp starts. We find that sending it too early get its lost in an inbox for most parents.
What is your cancellation policy?
Due to our smaller size camps, once purchased, there is $50 non-refundable charge per spot should you cancel prior to start.
What is the age range?
This camp is best suited for kids 5+.
Why only 12 kids?
This 12-person cap is followed to ensure safety for a manageable group for our camps. Spark has always maintained smaller classes for greater interaction, deeper connection between teacher and student and individualized attention. We never want any child to feel left out or overlooked so by maintaining a smaller group, we can ensure everyone’s needs are met.
What are the day camps like?
Our day camps are experiences are incredibly fun, supportive and inspiring. Each one incorporates art, yoga, meditation and nature. Our camps feature immersive art making, large scale and small projects, lots of different yoga poses, meditation exercises, field trips, visiting artists and more. It is truly one of a kind!
Will yoga and meditation be a part of this program?
YES, what better place to introduce these elements. We will teach them the concepts of both and develop practices on how to incorporate these disciplines into their lives.
What if it rains?
Should there be any inclement weather, we have use of our beautiful studio at 72nd street.
What happens if you don’t meet the minimum amount needed?
You will be notified a week out if such a scenario exists and a full refund will be given.
