SPARK HOLIDAY CAMPS - 2024

Overview

When school is out, we’ve got your covered! Since 2015, we have created amazing day camp experiences for kids using art, yoga and meditation! We operate on a first come, first serve basis. It is an 10 person camp to ensure a manageable and safe group and greater teacher/student time. Spark camps feature large scale and small art projects based on various themes as well as scheduled museum field trips,  all taught by Teaching Artists. We’ve got all our 2024 camps planned out for you!

Location: Spark Studio: 162 West 72nd Street – 5th Floor

Breakdown of the Day : Our day camps start with an ice breaker and drawing game for all the students to meet each other, go over the rules and breakdown for the day.  Then we jump into yoga and meditation followed by our morning art before lunch. Weather permitting, our group heads for day out to have lunch outside in nearby Riverside park and time for play. They return to the studio for a longer art project in the afternoon.

Once you are registered, you will be emailed all instructions prior to start.

Due to our smaller size camps, once purchased, there is $50 non-refundable charge per spot should you cancel prior to start. We are essentially holding the spot for your child.

Spark has always maintained smaller classes for greater interaction, learning and this has led to our camp being like no other. This 10 person cap is followed to ensure safety for a manageable group for our camps.

Based on recent NYC guidelines, Masks are optional and completely up to the discretion of the family. Our studio is large, air conditioned, spacious and ventilated.

Our day camps are experiences that expose children to art, yoga and meditation. Our camps feature immersive art making, large scale and small projects, field trips, visiting artists and more. Based on schedule.

YES, what better place to introduce these elements. We will teach them the concepts of both and develop practices on how to incorporate these disciplines into their lives.

Should there be inclement weather, we will use the Spark studio at 72nd street.

If for any reason the classes cancelled due to logistics on our end or NYC operating guidelines, you will be given credit towards future camps or classes. If your child is sick or cancelling during the camp, no refund is given.

We have kids safely since June of 2020. This also means getting them moving, being around other kids, breathing the fresh air and giving them a chance to be kids, see their friends and have fun creating at camp.

You will be notified a week out if such a scenario exists and a full refund will be given.
